This is my first year to participate in the A to Z Blogging Challenge and I don’t mind admitting that I am terrified. I’m afraid I might have bitten off more than I can chew for a relative newbie, but I haven’t even written my first post. However, here goes.
My theme is The Golden Age of Hollywood. Because I’ve always loved the older flicks, and appreciate the art of the black and white films, this seemed like an easy choice. However, when I started looking up sources I discovered the choice was not as easy as I thought.
The Golden Age of Hollywood was 1930 thru 1959. When I started doing my research, I was really surprised at some of the information I found about why those years are considered the Golden Age of Hollywood.
The biggest problem I’m running into is finding topics for some of the letters of the alphabet, especially the X. But I’m going to give it my best shot. So I reckon I better get a move on and start writing. This is definitely going to be an adventure.

Welcome to the challenge! I’ve participated for a few years now but it never gets easier! It’s always fun though 🙂 I like your theme and I look forward to reading your posts! Happy Challenge!

Congrats for signing up! Even though you have the theme, if you have to deviate a bit and go off topic for a letter, at least post something to complete the challenge. It is always a good feeling to have completed it and then get some well deserved sleep and rest afterwards. This is my fourth challenge; the first year I didn’t have anything written beforehand and struggled but made it through. For X I was so desperate I looked to see what streets started with X where I lived. Thankfully there was one and I used it 🙂 Think out of the box and you’ll do just fine!

Well, welcome to the challenge! Last year was my first, and I’ll admit it, halfway through I was quite desperate. But I did it, so I knwo you can do it too. Just don’t give up!
Love your theme, by the way and can’t wait to read more about it.
Have a fantastic April!

Sounds like a great theme! I think I have an old soul because I like old movies too…or maybe it’s because I worked in a nursing home and spent so much time with the greatest generation! 🙂
I’m doing the challenge for the first time too and am a little nervous. Haven’t written a word yet either!

Great theme! And incidentally, Xavier Cugat was in some movies, tho I’m not sure if the time period is right (he was in “You Were Never Lovelier” with Fred Astaire and the stunning Rita Hayworth)…
